About Us

Henry Thomas Designs, LLC (HTD) is a limited liability corporation established in 2008. HTD is a design, development and manufacturing group catering to both end-user individuals as well as dealership/wholesale markets. HTD founder, Henry T. Chriss, has directed his creative design expertise to one of his passions…motorcycles and motorcycle accessories.

After six months of deconstructing, redesigning and rebuilding his 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic, Chriss' newly-designed motorcycle took on the look of classic American-Made automobiles from the 1940’s and 1950’s. The low, long and streamlined appearance was unique yet recognizable.

The new "Old Skool" design was well-received by the cruiser motorcycle community. The PhatBack™ design was an instant favorite at motorcycle rallies. In 2007, Chriss was awarded "Bike of the Night" and numerous other awards for his unique and creative design and exceptional build quality. Chriss also received high praise from professional custom motorcycle fabricators, some of whom were featured on the "Biker Build-Off" television show in which the competition was for the "World’s Best Builder" title.

Enthusiasts, both men and women, ranging in age from late 20's to mid 60's, as well as dealerships, wanted to know how to purchase the PhatBack™ body kit...thus the incorporation of HTD and the inception of doing business as Old Skool Cycle Werks.

Chriss' PhatBack™ body kit was featured in the February issue of American Iron Magazine, a magazine with global distribution. The 6-page article included photos taken at the March 2007 Daytona Bike Week (one of the largest motorcycle gatherings in the world that attracts more than 300,000 attendees every year.
